Air compressors
With tire inflation being around 110psi up to 125psi depending on your tire requirements its getting harder to find a location to get air. Looking at carrying my own on-board air compressor. Does anybody have any preferences on type, or brand? I would like one small enough to carry around but capable of filling the higher rated tires.

I had a 'sears/kmart special' one like this:

that was rated @ 150 psi and served ok - but it was slow and cumbersome and 110 V... (and now ready for the next local owner  )
so got this 12 volt one that serves double duty for the rv and the jeep when we air down for off road:

I use a slime Air compressor for mine. I think I got it at a parts store. It isn't real fast but it works well

I have a Porter Cable pancake mounted on a shelf in the front storage compartment with a retractable hose reel in the curbside propane compartment, works great, out of the way & can reach all 4 trailer tires & all 6 of the trucks without adding extra hose.

Do you know off hand, how long is the hose on the reel?

Danny, Love the hose reel idea! Will look for that. I also have the Porter Cable pancake; a little noisy but works great.

I have the Porter Cable upright like Johnboy showed. Works great and I carry a few different air tools to use when needed.

I have the viair built into the truck good to 200psi. 6 gal tank with it. It runs my airbags.and has an air chuck on either side of the truck behind the cab for airtools or airing tires.

IIRC, it's 25-30', I got the reel from Northern Tool store & they had a couple different ones to choose from, I got the smaller due to the space I was putting it in.
