Vaughan,

I stole this pic from Dave on another thread because it was a little more clear than mine.

I am not really clear on what this is. It is between the tank feed and the pump, upstream of the city fill so it may not have anything to do with your issue, but I'm curious what this actually is. It looks like an anti-siphon valve, or maybe a filtered check valve. If you get a chance to see it and can figure it out, we would probably all like to know.

If anyone else knows, feel free to chime in!

Hope you have it fixed, or are getting it fixed!

I believe that's a pre-filter.

That is a sediment or sand filter. Usually it is directly before the water pump, keeping the damaging stuff out of the water pump. Typical cleaning of this filter is twice per year depending on use and water source. Remove when no pressure in coach. Rinse, clean and reinstall. Engineered backwards for some reason as debris ends in in the middle instead of the outside of the fine stainless mesh like most filters.

Wonder why it even needs to be there with the water filter option, (which I think is downstream). Thanks for the input guys.

Sand is abrasive and could destroy the diaphragms in the water pump making it useless.
