How many of you have a 38BR?????? What are you using that
spare room for and how is it working out. We need a business office and I am
sick and tried of it being in the dinette area, we can never get away from our
work. Yes we still have to work…..

Hello Old Grey Mare,

We have the 38 BR and I ordered it with the office option. I am 6' 2" and about 240lbs so I have to leave to change my mind but it was great to do my daily logs and plan the next day's drives or side trips with my laptop and all my maps and stuff left out when we went to the East Coast for 6 weeks last summer. I have lots of storage above my desk located on the common wall with the TV/fireplace. I use one of the folding dinette chairs as the office chair. If you send me your e-mail I can forward PDFs of the drawings from RW and some photos.

Just the way the light hits it... I was standing on the stairs outside the door trying to take the photo. Office still needs cork board and/or whiteboard to post stuff but it was great for the laptop and charging my GPS, Camera, Cell Phones, etc. last summer. Four file folder drawers is more than I need and all the cupboards above are 12" deep with a shelf so they hold lots of stuff too.

OMG that is a great picture! Wish the Redwood sale sites had
a picture with the office furniture in it. It is the first time I have seen
what it looks like. We are getting our with the empty room from the dealer
ship, not factory ordered. Had I seen how great it looked I might have held out
for a factory ordered one. Thanks so much for taking the time and sharing with
me. We hope to receive ours later this week, I’m finding it hard to sleep at
night, feel like a kid again. LOL

Your dealer should be able to order the desk and cabinets from RW and install them for you

Too late it's on the road for delivery this week, can hardly wait. We have been living in a 13 yr old weekend camping fifth for the past 3 years. It will be so nice to have a real home again.

I mean, the dealer can install them, maybe when you take your rig back to have adjustments that show up once you're on the road with it .made

Virginia I'm VERY happy for you and fondly remember the excitement of waiting for the rig to arrive. I hope you can bring your new home to the Rally in August so we can all meet you.

I do a lot of dog shows with my pugs. I had Redwood install a sink on the left side to wash them and I had a rack made to hold six crates. The separate door works great for this.

New to the Forum. We love the Redwoods and am very interested in the 38BR plan as I work from home or in this case the RV. We just started full-timing in our entirely too small 26' Travel Trailer knowing we'd likely upgrade to a 5th wheel later this year. After only a few short weeks in the Phoenix heat with too small, too loud an AC and no work space for me much less living space for my wife we've started looking for an upgrade.

All that being said can someone tell me how wide the office or flex space is in the 38BR? I wanted to take a look at the space I'm working in by comparison.

Would like to see photos of your pet care / transport area. My wife has cats and we have wondered what a 38BR would look like when configured for pet care.

Thanks,
OJ

Thanks to Brad and a couple of conversations with the Redwood rep we've got a new 38BR coming from the factory. It was nearly built with the majority of options we wanted and they managed to add the desk and a dishwasher as well as catch it before it was painted the wrong color (for us), we switched it to maroon and black. Scheduled to be at our dealer in Tucson (Lazydays) on July 26th. We're very excited!

Thumbs up 38 br

I have just bought my new 2014 38BR. we travel with a Red Heeler and previously owned a 2006 Carriage Compass C2 35SLQ. we found that her Kennel was just in the way every time we set up and tore down. We use the bonus room for that Kennel, a secondary "beer" fridge and use that entry when we are at the coast so we don't let the heat in the entire trailer when we enter or leave the unit.

Congratulations on purchasing a Redwood and welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of great information on these forums. We also travel with dogs -German Shepherd and Labrador, but don't bring a crate, due to no space in a FL.

We almost purchased a front living and thought we would just take out one of the recliners and side table and slide her kennel in that space. But my wife like the bonus room concept more. What makes her happy makes me not sleep with the dog.
