under the sink -- small clear plastic line and twist valve...

and there is a demo mode for the samsung's that basically turn the cooling off when you don't want it on ---- lites stay on, but no freezing, etc..

Is the freezer real cold - it takes mine sometimes about a day or two to even make the first batch, the it runs fine.

Also, there is a wire frame overfill bale on mine that shuts it down if the tray is full. Make sure that is down.

Probably not an easy thing to do on the samsung, but I was going to say purge the air out of the line. I've done that a few times to get it going faster, but I can access on the back outside panel.

I assume there is no water in the tray? (I was just thinking maybe it did make ice, but the motor won't dump it)

on our Samsung, if you see the display with ice cubes, that means that it is turned off.

Tell me about it. The symbol wasn't on and no ice was being made. I told her it didn't make sense. If I see the ice cube symbol, it must be on. Needles to say, I was wrong again! At least she's used to me being wrong by now.

Thanks, the ice light is off so it should be making ice. Is there a valve in the garage underneath?

SO first thing there is a plastic arm that senses if the ice tub is full or not make sure its not resting on anything and that your tube is in the slots it sits in. Then there is a test button that could purge the air out of the line it basically runs it through a cycle dumping the tray and filling it with water again, the button is on the front says test on it. If your valve is on underneath and still doesn't work sounds like it could be broke but check the above first good luck!

Found the white plastic up/down lever. It is in the up position, don't know how to move it down. Can't find a test button it is all white plastic and can't find a way to remove the plastic bottom cover.

This may help--

We have a Samsung here at the house which is similar to the residential fridge. Reach down under the square white plastic housing and you should feel a small button at the front. Press that and the tray should cycle.

If the water line to the icemaker drains back; sometimes it takes many cycles for it to refill the line and icemaker.

Thanks to all for the tips, I called Redwood and they think the water line in the back may be restricted and no water getting to the solenoid. Need to take it into the dealer.
