Smile First Outing With Our RW

Just got back home after spending 10 days in our new RW. We stayed in Williamsburg, VA inside a Naval Base. Overall, the RW performed well. We did have a few issues however. First one that I noticed was a slow drip of water coming from the main slide on the driver’s side right under where the fridge is located. The water was slowly dripping out of small hole where some cabling was. Nothing drastic, however water leaks are not my friend! Not sure if one of those cables is for the icemaker. The second issue is with the 6-point leveling system. While the RW was going through its’ auto level routine, I received an error that said Out of stroke, press enter to acknowledge. I pressed the enter button and then pressed the auto level button again and it leveled the unit just fine. By the way, I was on a concrete pad that was pretty darn level. When we arrived at the house Sunday, I received the same error. I then acknowledged that I had an out of stroke error and hit the auto level button again and had no issues. Don’t know if I should be concerned or not. Other than that we had a great time!

The water drip could be the ice maker line, I believe it runs with the other wiring, could possible a loose connection at the refer where the ware is flowing to the low point or possible a leak in the water line???

The leveling system sounds problematic, I'd have the dealer check it out before it gets worse.

Migt have them check the water too while it's in.

I'll trace the water line from the icemaker this weekend and hopefully find a loose connection.
I'm also going to call the dealership where I bought it and make an appointment. Hopefully they can get me in before our last outing for the season (Thanksgiving!).
Thanks,
Jack

The only water source in that slide should be the icemaker line. I would first check the connections behind the refrigerator to make sure they are tight. You can also turn your icemaker line off under the sink if you think it might be a problem before you can get it looked at.

Will I have to move the fridge in order to check those lines or just open up the access panel on the outside? Dumb question, I know! I'm just not familiar yet with this coach.

You can access that connection by removing the lower exterior panel. You will see the line right away. I suspect that is where your problem is. If it is not leaking at the connection I would suspect a small pinhole in the line but unlikely since you say it is dripping from the bottom of the slide. Also, check the drain collection cup to make sure that is is not overflowing.

You should see the drain line collection cup inside the same area as the water line connection. Condensation from inside the refrigerator drains into that cup. I can't imagine that much water draining to cause it to overflow but stranger things have happened.

Thanks much! Sounds easy. I'll check it later this afternoon.

I've had a similar error in our leveling system before when on a concrete pad. I basically acknowledged it and releved, haven't had a problem since. I wouldn't worry about that one unless you continue to get the same message.

LWG,
I have only had it twice as I just bought it. Once when we arrived at the campground last week and again when we unhooked at home this past Sunday. I'll test it a couple of times here at the house this weekend and see how it goes. I love technology!
Thanks,
Jack

We had that error a couple of times too... I do wonder about a new system and whether they hydraulic lines need to be worked a few times. It seems better now, and haven't had it for a long time, but then we haven't been travelling. Same with having our SLIDES deploy when we pressed AUTO RETRACT on the Level-Up! I wonder about sticking, new valves...

Just keep that "Punch List" going for your first trip in. We wanted to wait a while to let the list get longer (and it did). Our first service went great. We are currently scheduling the second at the end of November. Redwood is replacing our buffet top because it got dinged when our shades fell down. We have a couple of small items on the list also.

I'm hoping that's all it is as well. My plan is to hook it up to my truck this weekend and exercise it a couple few times and see what happens.
So far our list only has a couple of items on it. Of course, we have only been out once.
Thanks,
Jack

Before hooking up you might try calibrating the system, first go to manual mode & level it exactly to your liking then turn system OFF then press up 10 times followed immediately by pressing down 10 times the system should light up a say calibrated. It can't hurt!!
