Keep us posted...since it sounds like we may all be having this problem

Nope, not everyone. Must have been lucky, but so far, ours works as it's supposed to without any noises.Edited by: Adamsvr

It may be that they fixed the issue during production. When did you take delivery of your unit? Just reading through the postings,it seems that those who took delivery before January may have the problem, but later ones don't. My unit was picked up in late March and I haven't heard the symptoms (yet)... How much time "in-use" does it take to develop?

We got ours on 11/11/11 at 11AM. You might be right on the change in production line or its personnel putting these units together.

Well I'm glad they got the problem fixed on the newer units but at the same time I'm sorry to hear others have to deal with it.

We took delivery of our 36RL March 1st and have noticed at least one jack making that nerve racking popping noise. Drivers side jack near the unit's wheels. The front jacks seem to be OK at this point.

Our unit was built Dec 11 and we picked it up Mar. Since leaving the service dept last week our unit is really popping and shaking the coach. Can't wait to get that fixed. Everything else is minor issues.

This may be premature but cycling the jacks may help. Our unit was popping from day one and had continued to do so for nearly 4 months of full time camping. I was reading the forum this morning and noticed that I hadn't heard the popping lately. I asked the wife when she heard it last and she couldn't remember. I guess we got so accustomed to it that when it stopped, we didn't notice.
I will be paying closer attention to the jacks and let you know if the popping returns. For now, all is quiet.

Steve are you lubricating the jack legs as required by Lippert in the manual? I am curious if you are getting any discoloration or rough surface on the rams.

Happy Camper has a point... especially if you purchasedfrom dealer stock. If we're trying to tie down a time frame where units stopped having the issue,it's more about the builddate than the date you took delivery. If you're having the issue, please try to find your build-date when you post about this.

Man I hope our rig doesn't have these annoying popping sounds. Can anyone feel it inside when it pops?

KR2011. The rams still look new and I do clean and lube them as needed. Some campgrounds are very dusty and the grit will accumulate on the rams. When that happens I'll wipe them down and hit them with the silicone spray.

I'm not worried yet but I do hope we don't have this problem because Andy had not heard of this happening when I was at the factory.

Are the jacks covered for 5 years? I thought they were covered for 2 years.

Bought our 2011 Redwood in November 2011. Started popping in January. Told to bring jacks up and down about 10 times to get air out. Lasted about 2 days then started again. Tried again, same procedure. Lasted another 2 days. Talked to Lippert and was told to bring all jacks up and all slides in and check fluid in reservoir. Totally filled with air. Put slides in and out and jacks up and down about 5 times to remove air. Fluid looked good. Added more to insure we had enough. Leveled rig. Lasted 5 days and started again. Waiting for call from engineer at Lippert.

Just read more comments so here's some more info. Our Redwood came off line March 1, 2011. Popping sound happens when we're in or out of rig. Louder outside. Our rig is stationary at an RV resort. We do not tow it. Don't seem to have noise on passenger side of rig only on driver's side and front. Had leaking jacks on passenger side by tires replaced in February. Can feel popping in rig on occasion. Don't see any leakage.
