1st look at our Redwood

We had our PDI for our new 2015 Redwood 38GK today. Wow were we impressed. Found 1 pantry drawer slide out of whack which the tech fixed immediately and 1 cracked piece of trim. Everything else is beautiful and perfect.

Lots of manuals to read during our approximately 4 weeks before we take delivery.

Excitement level has gone way, way up!

Good to hear fellow gk'ers

A couple of points to help you enjoy it more:

If you got the residential pkg:
verify the fridge is anchored well -
ours tilted and the door was dented by the island...

Also, ask them to put a more positive latch on the second pantry as ours comes open when underway once loaded... but at least it doesn't swing completely open because the island stops it as well...
so we've taken to putting a pillow between the door and island...

good luck !

Thanks, JBT. Redwood may have changed the latches as they take some effort to yank open...more so than I remember from models on the lot and RV show. We have the residential fridge so will check that out.

That's good if they did change the latch... please understand, not trying to throw the wet blanket, just trying to help !

this is the kind that is on ours :
http://www.amazon.com/RV-Designer-Co...+cabinet+latch
and they even put a second one, but with two coffee pots and 100 lbs of 'stuff' my wife put on each drawer slide... the NICE, easy to move drawers, slide against the door...

re the fridge, I can grab it at the top and just tilt it out without much effort...
on those two lane roads where the 'edge' dips when turning left is probably when ours tilted...

Thank you JBT. Understand and appreciate the comments. As you've read, this is our first RV. This and the other forum have been a tremendous help. We would be lost without the help from Redwood owners that we've learned here.

That is very exiting. Rhonda and I will be ordering in a 38GK in June for a late August delivery and a Oct. 10th retirement. Looking forward to joining the RW family. I will remain a member of the MOC and a SOB.
