Make it late November or December, and we're in.

We've stayed at the San Antonio KOA for the past 6 days. Nice shade trees and clean restroom & showers. Gated for security. Saturday night movies/popcorn. We were able to board the public bus in front of the campground to see the Alamo and Riverwalk. Highly recommend!

If we can get this rig road worthy, we would like to be in. It is very quiet here in Salida right now

Ahhh, coming home from Navajo lake in Sept, had a driver side front wheel drag at stop lights. Pulled them all and found grease in all 4 hubs. RW is sending 4 backing plates, plus new seals. Gonna go with the American bearings vs. the Chinese ones. Plus, RW is replacing all the bulb seal on the back two slides as well as the wiper. Also, was sent a new microwave flapper since that one broke. Currently she is hooked up and can't wait to wait to watch the Broncos vs Pats on Sunday on the 55" Thinking of sinking a 1000 gal tub so I can dump too. Backhoe is only $225

oh man, sorry to hear about the brakes. Those bulb seals are junk aren't they? I've replaced mine, treated them, and they are already wearing again. I think part of my issue is I'm still vibrating back there maybe. The seals originally rubbed through and stuck to the slide. When I replaced them they would just work their way down the track until I found some sealant that would hold them, now they are rubbing and chafing again. I had the tires balanced, but maybe I'll put a video back there to see just how good of a job they did on the balance.

On the tub, would you then just hire somebody to pump it out every once in a while? Do you have to strap them down on concrete pylons to keep them from popping out of the ground when empty and the water table gets to high?

Go Broncos!!

The tank should be just fine on its own, don't have much ground water here. We have 3 septic systems, but they are too far to tap into. Would just have the tank pumped when needed. Attached a photo of our bulb seal, and grease seal.

yep, EXACTLY what our seals look like. They just rub right through.

I went through 4 or 5 sealers to get them to stick to the rubber. The sealant would just separate itself from the rubber and then the seal would slide down the track and flap in the wind. Save yourself some headache and get some MHRV 2300 Exterior Sealant (MHRV stands for Motorhome & Recreation Vehicle).

Hard to find, and you can't order it direct, but that is all Tarpley in Durango will stock and he would probably ship you some tubes.

What's causing the slide seal to rub through...or did I miss it?

Not sure. I think a screw holding the track on may have caused it, but when we get it all torn apart hopefully we will be able to see.

I'm convinced its from vibration or at least slide bouncing while rolling down the road. I'm going to video mine from the inside next time out. I would ride in there myself but Dory won't drive this rig.

Shouldn't we all be experiencing this issue if that was the case? Can the slide unit somehow be "loose"?

I have the same seal issues on the two rear slides. I had them replaced once and still doing it again.

Only if you are vibrating. I think I have something going on back there. Light fixtures in the dining room coming loose, door screws coming loose, etc. I'm going to recheck the balance on my tires.

Brad.....it's the suspension. I really think the suspension is the weak link to these trailers. Mine is good right now with the correct track ......but this next year I'm either going with the center point or the MoyRide IS.

I'm also going to hook up a remote controlled compressor for the air bag in the pin box so I can adjust it while going down the road.

That could be Dave. I'm curious what the video shows. It could be a harsh ride with the 8K axles and G614s at 110psi as well. That may be why some others aren't experiencing it.

Before I ordered my 38FL I asked about the 8k vs 7k axles and was told that the 8k axles do give the coach a more "stiff" ride. I'm thinking for mine the 8k axles w/ the MoyRode IS would be smoother when it comes to that.
