I'm hoping to add balancers in the near future. When I do, it will be:

I read all posted this last summer about 'G rated', bout how it increased the load ability of the tires. So I bought "H" 4805 lbs per tire. Now I still have 7k axles, which is a problem. Fixing this issue this year 4800 x 4 =19320. Spare is the same. Now where can I get 9k axles? New rims and tires $2700.00 delivered to DALLAS, CAN YOU BEAT THIS price?

Herb,

If changing the axles, you may want to consider changing to the MOR/Ryde Independent Suspension

Mor Ryde offers 9k axles. Don't know what the price is. Saw them at the plant when ours was there and we got a tour. Serious hunks of metal that looked like they would do justice to a Semi.

Thanks for your suggestions. The part is not the axil, it is the part that distributes the weight between the two axils. It's connected to the leaf springs by a welded bracket which is between the two axils and attached to the frame of the RV then bolted to the rear of the front spring and the front of the rear spring. This allowed for the distribution of weight between the two axils. So it is not the springs but the part that distributes the weight between the two axils.

Its called an "equalizer", or Trailair's hybrid version of one - resulting in the trade name "equa-flex".

Nitrogen stays very stable & a squirt of air once in awhile wouldn't dilute it enough to ever notice.

Much less natural air loss with N so very little needs to be added.

Ours had the Nitrogen from the factory, but after repeated up and down when loaded versus not,

I'm sure my % N has 'adjusted' a bit...

and since air contains roughly 78% Nitrogen, never really worry about WHERE my air comes from

Even took off the little green caps (the wife considered them ugly anyway!)

ST215/75R17.5 Hercules H-902 Radial Trailer Tire LR H, 4806 lb Max Load.
I ordered these yesterday with rims for trailer tires and wheels. Shipped to Mobile, Alabama and will be here Tuesday. Had my first Marathon blow out after a year and a half of owning my Redwood. No damage. Lesson learned.

Not sure I would have went with the ST with several LT tires in that size available, and I don't think you will like the "made in-" part on the sidewall for those Hercules.

I am not saying I like where my last tires I bought were made but on our previous SOB 5th Wheel I bought and ran Sailun S637 "G" Rated tires for about 35,000 trouble free miles.
The Sailun tires are manufactured under ISO and several Quality standards.
I have talked to others running the Sailun "G" tires and I have not heard of any problems. (I believe Heartland RV is now using the Sailun S637 "G" tires as a standard on their Big Country and Big Horn lines.)
I bought them shortly after we took delivery of our last 5th Wheel, it also had Goodyear "E" Marathons on it, I sold the Marathons on Craigslist to a guy for his lawn service trailer.
Our previous weighted 15,740 lbs. loaded as we traveled the country.

A couple of years ago we went to a RV Dreams Rally in Kerrville TX and there was someone at the Rally parked close to us that had a new RW 36FB and I remember it had "E" Marathons on it and thinking wow such a light duty tire for such a large / heavy 5th Wheel.

Our new RW also shows on the Axle / Tire label that the spare tire is a "E" Rated tire but I looked under our RW and the spare is a "G" Rated Goodyear like the others on the ground.

That's why I bought LR 'H' tires from Tira RV sales and service. Extremely good price for 5 tires and rims.

So I happen to have 5 LRG G614 tires, but my Redwood sticker was replaced last year because the GVWR was wrong, and with that it now shows my spare as LRE, even though it is not.

A little satire- Last week I ran a bolt into the outside tread on one of my G614s. Goodyear said it couldn't be repaired, new tire $338. I thought for a second and said hmmm, I could get a Marathon LRE for $140 and put in on the spare wheel, and swap the good spare LRG to the alloy wheel. The Goodyear fella piped up "no-no-no - can't do it. Can't put a LRE in place of a LRG - can't do it". I said it would just be the spare - "nope, nope, I won't do it".

I happened to be four blocks from the Redwood Dealer in Durango and Goodyear called and talked to the Service Manager, who went out and looked at the sticker on a new one and said I was right - factory spare is a 235-80R16E and tires on the ground are 235-85R16G. The Goodyear man was shocked and babbled about all kinds of issues towing with a LRE and LRG and different sizes on the ground at the same time. I told him to settle down because I want the G614 anyway so I don't have to drive back to the campsite to get the spare. Gee-Zoots

Redwood is replacing my sticker too, GVW is wrong on mine too.
Website shows 16,500 GVW, my sticker shows 16,200 GVW.
When I asked RW they said the sticker was wrong and they were going to send me a new one.
