Redwood lock reset & Maxxfan lid replacement

If I don't have the combination to the electronic lock for the doors of our 2013 38BR, how can I reset it?

Maxxfan vent lid has a crack where the mounting arms connect to it from the underside and leak. Is there a replacement lid or do you have to buy the entire system?

We are on our maiden voyage in the unit, and I've "encountered" just how low the bedroom slide out actually is. #8stitches later in the head.

Other than this, we are happy we are now owners in your community.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you care to share about the lock and vent lid.

Look at the lock. If it's an RV Lock, you can go onto their website and download the manual. If no one ever set it - its 1234

Yessir...it's been set before by previous owner. I have the reset directions, but I understand them to say to change it I have to have the original code. With that said, what options do I have? Replace the whole thing?

I would give RV Lock a call, they are great to deal with and if there is any way to help you they will. Having said that, if it is the older lock with the separate keypad, I would upgrade to the new one instead. Much better lock.

Sorry about the head - I just use duct tape to stop the leak in my head anymore I found I need to just take my hat off. For some reason I run into it every time I'm wearing my hat. Lowered the big basement cabinet door too and misjudged how close to stand, ripped most of the skin of my nose on the way down -

If you happen to have the Bauer lock (keypad next to the door handle), just take out the batteries and put them back in and it resets to the default code, which is the same for ALL of us!

You probably will only hit your head once.........but just in case you can order some rubber/plastic corners that install on those sharp corners or you can do like a lot of others and invest in a couple of those foam noodles at the dollar store and cover your corners. Those sharp corners will definitely do damage!

I have hit those slide corners and edges so many times that I thought my peripheral vision was getting bad. I had my eye doctor check it and he says it is normal.......he says I just have to remember to look up.

We bought a pool noodle and cut it up using them on the corners

Well I have one good thing in my corner, I am short so I can walk under MOST things. However I still have numerous scars on the top of my old nogen, I did beat just about all my hair off the top

I have a "safety cap" insert for a ball cap that I got from a jobsite somewhere. I need to find it, then I'll be as good as bullet proof
