Making progress on the stress crack repair. The kind folks at Crossroads RV are sending the H clip so the work can be done close to home. After much thought, I am wondering about any damage that has been done on the inside of the unit opposite of the crack. Does anyone with experience with the repair have any feedback about there being more to the stress problem that just shows up on the outside? The repair guy says he sees this frequently and usually goes into the back of the cracked area and adds a brace to help absorb the shock from our well maintained Interstate Highways. It seems logical???

Mark,
I am assuming the tire itself went. Did it lose the tread. I had a Goodyear G614 lose its tread on our Carriage. Filed a claim with Goodyear, they paid for the tire replacement and also for fixing the trailer. It may be worth a try.

I noticed when hooking up the trailer 2 days ago there was a lot of creaking around this area. Hoping this isn't a predecessor to the cracking that others have experienced?

205 H rated Tires s 17.5

I purchased 5 tires and rims for $2375.00 before delivery. Tira tires @ 866-800-3093. I think I got a great deal. My Son says FL has better tires than my truck.

The tread didn't come off. The outer side wall completely seperated from the tread. The tire is on it's way to GY. I'm going to replace all of the with G614s.
