If they'd simply abandoned the pay by the piece mentality and go to hourly wages with QA based bonus structure things would turn around almost instantly.

I just called Redwood to list some issues for warr. repair. I have taken mine to the factory before since I don't have a dealer by me any more. I was told they made a change back in Aug and they no longer will do inspections or anything else a dealer can do. They will only do major repairs at the factory. In reading posts on this and the other forum, I have not seen this listed before. Is this true.

Don't know all the rep would say is that is why they work with the dealerships. He made clear they don't want us bring the units back to the factory unless there is a major repair the dealer can't do. He said all inspections are to be done at the dealers not the factory. I had to tear out my maxx fan in the kitchen as all the 12 volt shorted out including the antenna booster wire. They used long sheet metal screws to hold the fan to the aluminium frame. All the wires that are up in the area all had the insulation scaped away from theses screws so I had several 12 volt items that didn't work. I had to cut some of the wires and splice into them and the multi wire for the maxx fan had to be spliced as the wire is wedge in the ceiling frame and walls. I don't know if I want a dealer to try to tackle all of that re-work

Good Sams Extended Warranty has been great, I take it 2 miles from my house in Baton Rouge even though I'm still in warranty.

I know they won't do inspections, I already tried that.

Sounds like you got everything running. Are you wanting new wires pulled through the walls? Might get back worse than you have. As long as you have clean splices on 12V - I wouldn't worry about it, but that's me.

When you refer to the factory, are you referring to the Redwood factory at Syracuse, Indiana or the Crossroads Factory Service Center at Topeka, Indiana? I just had my 2012 36RL at the Crossroads Factory Service Center in Topeka the first week of October. When I picked up the coach, I said I would see them next year at the same time and nothing was said that I couldn't come back.

I guess I did not know that an owner could/would take any work to the Redwood factory at Syracuse unless it is a major, major rebuild of the trailer. Anything less than that level of work should still be possible to go to the Crossroads Factory Service Center. For scheduling, contact the service writer Andi Miles at the Service Center. Unfortunately, I don't have the telephone number immediately available. If you need it, I will have to look it up and post later.

I sent an e-mail in to Andi this morning and got a reply stat that all appointments are now scheduled thru the retail war. Department. They will review the claim and respond I=within 48 hours. I guess we will see if the say yes or go to the dealership.

we scheduled our 2012 for 2nd inspection and warranty work with Tom @ retail warranty for the Service Center in Topeka ... they have us down for Dec 4. No hassle at all. He did ask if we were full timers, which we are. Maybe that would make a difference???

That could be. I scheduled some work with him and although he said he could do any of the work that was warranty, he talked me out of making the drive and going to a local Dealer.

For us it would have been a special trip.
