Ya, we were going into it knowing we had a generator and W/D on the 36RL, which is a little nose heavy anyway, but still thought I could get by with our SRW if I kept down some of the other weight, but I just didn't make it.

How did you use the hole saw in the existing large hole?

When we removed the old faucet, we had two different size holes, we only had to widen the smaller one since the new faucet's base was larger. We then cut a third hole for the soap dispenser.

Great job. Will be my springtime task. Ours leaks and the water pressure has always been terrible along with the spray feature being a half-hearted attempt at spraying.

I understand, the factor installed faucet looked ok, but it does not spray very well. Also, my black rubber cover on the side of the sprayer kept falling off.

Did you every find a name on the faucet? I looked and couldn't find it. Was looking at trying to replace the o-ring if it had one and see if I could remove any water saver.

We really like the36RL floor plan (we like the entertainment center on the side instead of the back) but we didn't like the length and weight. We really wish they had kept the 34SK. Given the price we purchased our 31SL for and what the new ones are going for, I think our 31SL will do just fine!

Definitely - some of that new pricing in scary We tend to keep things forever and as long as I don't spend too much time at the RV shows ooh and aaahing, I'm OK!

Our 2012 36rl had a kitchen faucet leak when we purchased it used. The handle for the hot and cold adjustment would leak on the countertop. Brand name of faucet was Dura. Took it apart and headed to home improvement store. Parts were identical to the delta faucets. Bought the ball, top seal, springs and seals and some lubricant like a plumbers silicone grease. Put it all back together and no more leak. Has worked fine since I did that. I believe it was around a $20 repair for the parts. Took all of 5 or 6 minutes to do.

I've had good luck getting replacements direct from Durafaucet with pictures of the failure.

Durafaucet is a good company. Not only do they make the kitchen faucet but also the shower faucet.

Last Spring, I found that my shower faucet was leaking at the hose fitting - but only when one of the valves were open. Before I started to dismantle it, I called their support line to ask what parts to order. An engineer picked up the phone, helped me determine the model and explained the whole process to me. Turns out, I had a crack in the Diverter Tee where the hose connects (probably a winterizing issue).

The same engineer kept in touch with me over a few days by email and phone until I had received the part, disassembled the faucet and replaced the part and reinstalled. Highly recommend them if you do repairs yourself.

P.S. Did you know that to get at the shower faucet connections in a RL/RE/BR, you have to remove the coat hook panel inside your entry door closet to access the fittings so you can remove the faucet?

Wouldn't happen to have the contact info for Durafaucet still by chance? My kitchen faucet is leaking at the handle also.

Thanks. Vaughan

With the coat hook pane removed:

Vaughan,

I just went straight to durafaucet.com and went to customer service.

I guess I'll take down my coat hook panel to get ahead of it as every fitting like that in my basement was loose.

A cheat on the redrill with the holesaw on an existing hole. Take a piece of scrap plywood, 1/4" would work, thicker the better. Drill a hole in that, then center over your existing hole, clamp or screw down depending on the material, and the new hole acts as a guide for the hole saw.

Our Kitchen faucet as well as bath faucet both leaked upon delivery. Just required a bit of tightening to the seal to stop the leak. Remove the handle with an allen wrench and tighten the retaining nut. Just like a packing nut on an outdoor faucet.

Very clever! I always wondered how I would do that.

I never have good luck like that. My projects usually feature fate punishing me for doing something successfully in the past.
