I actually cut a narrow, long strip to fill in the center for our foam mattress replacement too...

didn't want it too high though, would rather roll together during the night rather than off the...

Two of our mh friends both hate it and even asked to test our foam mattress and will probably swap out...

too bad you aren't close...
