I used to use the plastic bb's in my huge off...

I used to use the plastic bb's in my huge off road tires in my buggy to balance them. They make a funny noise when you stopped and they all fell to the bottom!

Steel wheels are definitely more practical. They don't crack and can be beat back into shape if need be. However they are not pretty compared to AL options.
