I can’t remember doing any modifications although...

I can’t remember doing any modifications although the change was made several years a go. I believe that the connections were same as the cracked plastic valve.

Replace it with a brass valve from Swan...

Replace it with a brass valve from Swan Industries in Oregon. They have a web site. I did, and no more problems.
