If it's 7/8", it's 7/8". Doesn't matter whether or not it's a 6-point or a 12-point. You've got something else going on there if your socket is spinning.

If your wheels are cast with 3,750 lb capacity, that should make them alread rated for 110 psi, as that is the only tire that has that capacity. Maybe they had limitations on the valve stems they...
