I was wondering how conditions would change when towing. I suppose in as much as road heat impacts the undercarriage, so would road cold. Especially with the water tank on the front.

Dave, your fireplace running may have affected the thermostat so your furnace may not have been running enough to adequately heat the tanks.That can be an issue even when camped.
