You'll have to install the vent with a 4" hole. They shoot straight out the side of the wall, high on the curb side for yours.

I wonder if a 240V dryer would work on 110 through one leg...just low heat. I don't know what happens with those installed by owners.

I don't think I've ever actually seen a factory installed 240v dryer. I think it complicates things with the generator, 30A sites, etc. However, I know lot of folks that install their own.

On mine they were 2 lag bolts about 4 inches long that held the drum, but had tags all over it telling you to remove them. Sounds like you might have something else going on if the pump isn't...

Were the packing bolts in the back removed that hold the drum in place for shipment?

That wouldn't impact the draining though.
