Nothing in trap, nothing as far as I can reach...

Nothing in trap, nothing as far as I can reach inside pipe. But, bottle of peroxide and couple of gallons of water did the trick. Some black matter, like film floated up, something I never saw...

Toilet foot pedal broke and was not shutting...

Toilet foot pedal broke and was not shutting water off. Caused flood in bathroom, storage and cover on holding tanks. Replaced toilet with ceramic one, now happy!
