Danny, thanks for your reply. I will see if there is enough hinge left to clamp as you did. If I do I will try your fix and also try to get my dealer to order me a new hinge.

The hinge on my door side basement door just broke. It is a 47 inch door that opens from the bottom up. The hinge is 42 inches. The hinge is fastened to the door in three places. One of the tabs...
