I believe that the water would purge back to the fresh tank as it not far... Once there in can freeze all it wants as there is no concerns of expansion... I have never in all my years worried about...

I have always used low pressure air to blow the lines out before the pink stuff... There are some that ONLY do the air and no pink ,not me..
Buy the air to hose adapter , place it on the black tank...
