Both great suggestions. I think the twist appart screen is supposed to be for the water pump sucking water from the tank. I think the way these are plumbed all the water goes through it.

There are no screens at the filter, there is one at the inlet and also the faucets. I found that the filter makes very little difference. I did find almost every screen plugged. The kitchen water...
