Man, if I had to do it again, I would pay the Dealer to install this stuff. I kept our Washer and dryer and generator out of our old 5er because they were still young, but installing them has been a nightmare on it's own.

Exhaust - who would fabricate one? Midas muffler shops can't do the small pipe. Cummins Onan is even headquartered here in Denver and they have a 30 bay shop, but they won't fabricate anything.

You might try a plumbing shop. They bend pipes all day. Just measure the angles and make a drawing for them to follow. On our RL, the exhaust pipe comes out the bottom and then to the drivers side under the frame. Cost should be $20 or $30 dollars.

Yeah, I had THEM move my gen to the RW. The exhaust hangs down below the frame, making me a little nervous when the jacks come down...so far so good.http://www.redwoodowners.com/smileys/smiley24.gif

We rarely have a level site when dry camping. If the site slopes to the rear then it's almost assured that the tailpipe of my genny will be kissing the ground. At that point I have to manually level the trailer being sure to place some extra blocks under the rear jacks.

Does everyone's exhaust sweep back to the space between the slides, or does it just dump straight out the curb side?

Ours slopes back at about a 45 angle.

Steve, does it go all the way back to where there is no slide, or does it come out somewhere under the bedroom slide?

Brad, I'm almost positive I saw all the individual pipes on Onan's website for fabricating your own.

Also, since Redwood installs from factory, they must stock replacement parts. Get part numbers from Ron & have any dealer order for you.Edited by: 5th_Time

Thanks Michael, I think I will start with Onan. My Dealer has been great about ordering parts as well, so I'll see what he has.

Brad if you need measurements, I'll slide under there.

My factory install goes straight back then 90deg bend & out to drivers side between the slides about 6" in front of middle jack. Auto type pipe hangers on frame.Edited by: 5th_Time
