We had been looking at a new DP MH and they offered us 50k for our RW as a Trade. I will just keep it for a few more years.

Yes I was thinking of going the truck camper route last year and they offered me 46K which was wholesale price. They did not care what options it had on it! Sounds like the guy was really low balling you as I would think wholesale on yours should be about $55k. Heck I just looked mine up and it has dropped to $40K. I need to quit looking as it is depressing!

When we were at Lazy Days in Tampa in October and we were looking at DP MH's again.
Talking to the salesmen about one particular rig on the lot witch was a 2015. Window sticker was $260,000 and after sitting down with him he dropped it to $195,000 if we did the deal that week.

Sooooo.... Char said what is our set up worth to you.

He offered $100,000 for RW and truck I guess not a horrible offer but I just couldn't do it!

Anyone who buys anyou type of recreational item for an investment is seriously misinformed. Within 3 years they are worth 1/2 what you paid for them. The old adage that you can't put a price on a good time comes into play

We looked at a 2016 Entegra Aspire and it was marked down 160K. Wife liked the floorplan asked about the trade of the RW and they offered us 50k. Needless to say we still have the RW.

Based on private sales - $39 seems way too low, but I see he has a 2013 for $44. Must be clearing inventory.

That's pretty much the deal we made. Ginny didn't want to continue making payments on te Redwood if weren't going to keep it. I figured we saved enough on the Entegra to take a loss on the Redwood. Luckily the Entegras have gone up in price which has kept ours from loosing too much. But regardless I know the dealers will try to screw me on the next trade.

After talking to another owner. in very .. very..deep length..... who has posted on here..several times.... about the enormous problems he has had.. and what he had to do to correct them... and seeing what rotflmao REDWOOD has and has NOT!!!!! done for him.. ( I saw his list before and after his dealer/factory service center(4+ month) stay....and REDWOOD`S service centers reply to his warranty claims) he lives 20 minutes from me... and have seen..first hand..... loose and falling OFF trim was not?? a warranty item...... after his unit`s 4+ month stay at the repair facility.. ( his unit was 20 days old) when HE!!!! yes i said HE!!!! had to return it to the factory!!!! welcome to canada eh? (AS IT IS HERE IN CANADA) !!!!!! had to return it for warranty work????)... and then reflect on what we are currently experencing and looking at in the near future... the considerable dollar value....... is very very very bleak.... ( in ONTARIO CANADA )

After looking what?? my original borchure....has stated as SPECS???? and to what truly is.... is VERY VERY DIS-HEARTENING... especially for what was standard? (as per brochure) states...??? and incuded... and as to what the REAL INSULATION values are...and to what the packages contain as to insulation... Is DOWN RIGHT ""CRIMINAL"" as to their claims... for the real ""R VALUE""

As there is currenly Only 1 !!! dealer left ( in ontario) , and the word from them.... is they are also going to bail on the Redwood line.. and i QUOTE.. due to the many warranty and QUALITY claims ( quality claims are not admissable here).. going throught their service departments.... We just got finished attempting to trade off our 100k nightmare.....

The suggestions from the salesman.. and then...THE OWNER OF THE DEALERSHIP... and also the head service co-ordinator.. was to cut and run....???? as the Redwood line was going to be dropped!!!!!!!!!!! not just from this dealer.. but it has a 2 year expectancy. life span..??? GRRRRR try and bail on an orphan unit.. and see what 100k gets ya.. when almost new...... 168k list goes to 48k on trade in 2 years( was only used for a few 1-2 week holiday get aways)... Evan the next closest DRV dealship.. offerred 58k on our VITUALLY NEW 2013 36FL...only if we spent 160k+ on a new DRV... looks like we are going with a Contintal or Luxe.... sorry BUT SCREW THOR!!!!!!!

as said.... a Happy customer will tell all those who ask........ AS AN UN-HAPPY CUSTOMER... WILL TELL ALL THOSE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!!!!!

DOLLARS WORK... DOLLARS PAY... live and learn....

luv my lay out.... amenities.... but enough is enough... just my nickles worth.... ( up here we HAVE NO LEMON LAWS for RV`s Or ANY REC VEHICLES!!!!!!

Steve, be happy they offered you $100 for both. Dealer up in Rochester offered $75 for mine and our units are identical. My truck only has 18,000, I just use it to pull RV. That was on a 2013 diesel pusher with 75,000 miles

YUP... I like mine and we are keeping it. All the bugs are worked out for now so I just keep modifying the few thing we don't like.
Opps, just remembered last trip home in October my breaks stopped working so haven't looked at that bug yet. Probably a wire.

Steve, have you relocated your kitchen thermostat? When I get mine out of storage for the winter that is one of my mods. Who ever thought to locate a floor register directly under the heat thermostat? I guess only people that need heat 1/2 of the time would find that a problem.

Dale,
No I have not yet and actually had forgot about it since we very seldom use the heat where we go. But... the bathroom light switch is crazy!! Why would they locate it near the rear entry door instead of the main door from kitchen to bathroom? That will be switched very soon.
Finishing up my 3 new end tables this weekend and then will post a picture.

Steve
