Tst 507 tpms

I'm getting the rear tires on our F350 dually replaced in the next two weeks and would like some input from someone who can help. Accessing, removing, airing the tires if necessary, and replacing the TST cap sensor (no fill pass through) on the rear dual tires is extremely difficult with the stock valve stems that came on the wheels from the factory. Anyone found a reliable, and safe solution to this problem? Thanks.

Jim,
I've got the same system with the same problem.
Here's a pic of how I solved it;

Used the safety tool that came with the system, attached to the piece of aluminum, it will reach the inner valve to remove the sensor & using a rubber band to hold it in the tool will allow you to thread it back on, so far its worked for me.
If the tire guys mount the stems directly across from each other it's a little more difficult, but if mounted 180 degrees it works good.
One plus for me is Discount Tire scratched the crap out of both front factory wheels ($808 each from GM dealer) so they replaced them with 4 beautiful aftermarket wheels & now outer rears the valve is in the outside.
I've never found extensions that I thought were worth the $$$ & do what I want.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Danny, that seems like a reasonable way to go. I never thought about telling Costco guys when they install the new tires to offset the valve stems on the dual tires on each side. I originally tried to use the flow through sensors, but they're so long they didn't work on the Ford OEM wheels.

Jim,

Also check with your tire dealer when they are installing the tires. IIRC there are longer and curved metal valve stems they can install.
