towing a boat

We just got our 2014 RW36 RL today. Husband picked it up out of state. He doesn't think it has the wiring (brakes/ turn signals) capabilities to tow our boat. We do want to take it to the local lakes and enjoy the water when we're not on the road. Anyone have any suggestions?

Should be easy enough to do, just come off the taillights and drop down by the hitch. How big a boat???? pics please Would love to tow one behind ours.

We had ours wired as part of the deal... the tech that did it actually took an hour and a half to do it....

Johnboytoo, did they tap right at the rear tail lights? I have been considering doing this so I can tow my motorcycle trailer. I am thinking of tapping in right at the junction box at the fifth wheel and running along the frame back. That way I have the electric brake lead, electric brakes on the second trailer is a requirement in Michigan. What are you pulling behind your rig?

Yes - they just tapped in from the tailights... only a four wire connector which is enough for anything I might put back there...

Have not towed anything as as it sites we would be over the 65' length max...
but just was 'bargaining' for as much as we could get in the initial sale

with the 300 lb tongue weight and 3000 lb max towing load that can be put on the hitch, was hoping for a golf cart or the like...

Or a Polaris Ranger...
Or a Lund....
Or a......

I used to tow our two axle boat behind the Montana, but just put electric brakes on it yesterday. That would get interesting trying to setup two brake controllers!
