Dave, have passed several MHs pulling the in-laws 30 footer behind them and had one pass me like I was sitting still. They have been at least a 45 footer. The big boys can tow and carry well beyond what we can. Talked to the folks with the big Continental Coach being pulled by the big rig and smart car, they are at their limits with weight. So you really need to go MH if you want to carry all your stuff and pull behind you.

Today we we're spending the night in Harrisburg PA and there were a few places when we came across I81 that we had to stop at the bottom of some pretty good grades due to traffic. It was a real test to see what the MH would do without having the ability to wind up the diesel on a run. She did better than I thought and very pleased. I also had to come to a few panic stops from highway speeds and it was a breeze.

Even with all the hills, pushing her hard and the 97 degree heat, I still was averaging 7.5 mpg. Not bad for a tight engine. I guess that chevy pushes pretty hard after all

Well, we just keep talking about the misery of selling our camper if we get a MH... no truck to haul the camper. Then, me with my big ideas: RAM 3500 DRW flat tows. Oh dear, so now we will likely be towing the RAM WITH the camper on when we relocate with a MH. LOLOL! I am not kidding, that's how powerful those things are.

...and just to be clear, I am talking about our Lance truck camper, NOT the RW! I know some people call their RW a "camper" on here, didn't want there to be a misunderstanding! LOL!!

With the weights that Dave posted - the Entegra could do it. I'm guessing the Ram with the Lance on it is around 14k.
Would make for an interesting rig and guaranteed head turning. Lol

LOL! That's what I thought too. Haven't see that yet! We would only do it to "relocate" as opposed to towing our driving vehicle. I would just have to follow in the car when we change regions. We'll see what happens. Right now we are RW people, and that's just fine.

Trailer weight

Finally got the trailer on the scales and here are the results
Truck 9850 lbs
Total weight 25740 lbs
Truck with trailer 13000 lbs
Trailer axles 12760 lbs
Pin weight 3150 lbs
This is also with washer dryer and 6.5kw onan.
Black and grey tanks empty and water 3/4 full
I was pleasantly surprised as i figuered fulltiming in it, it would have been heavier. Steve I told the DW that the weights were right at the limit so the closet will not get any fuller.

I'm also surprised at the pin weight. I'm 3300 with full water but no genny or w/d.

Apparently the G'Ks are heavier on the pin than the RL's

I rechecked the unladen truck weight and it is 8980lbs not 9320lbs
This changes the pin weight to 4020lbs not 3780 lbs

?? I thought you said your pin weight was 3150 in your last post.

With the new truck weight, that would put you at 3490- which is probably about right if you had a little water. Ours is 3473 without water/grocery/clothes, 4300 with water/grocery/clothes, and we have the W/D and gen.

These weights are also in the Rally thread I think but tend to get lost so I thought I would post here for reference.

Here is our weights for the 2014 36FL.

Right front truck 2500
Left front truck 2350
Right rear truck 1900
Left rear truck 1900
Total 8650

Right front with RW 2500
Left front with RW 2300
Right rear with RW 3400
Left rear with RW 3400
Total 11,600

RW right front 3000
RW left front 3300
RW right rear 3050
RW left rear 3200
Total 12,550

Combined Weight 24,150

If I figured it correct the pin weight is 2950.
Our truck is good for a combined towing weight of 29000.

At least it is light enough or you would have had to swap out to your chevy

We did not have granite, slide in slide, nor did we have the generator and W/D installed at the factory. We did however have the tri-glide pin box, 2 awnings, king bed, dishwasher, 8K axles and G614 tires, and I think that's all I can think of that would add weight.
