Shopping New Trucks advise

I am of the persuasion that believes all three of the manufacture make great trucks. So I am not approaching this from shooting down anyone. I currently have the 2012 Ram 3500 DRW Longhorn. I have driven today the 2016 Longhorn DRW 4x4 cumins and the 2016 GMC Denali 4x4 with the duramax. Both are great trucks. For you who have had both, tell me. Did you find that the GMC rode smoother than the Ram? For me is seemed to. However, I love the new Ram electronics, the ability to turn the back up cam without be in in reverse. The GMC to my surprise was sluggish starting form a red light compared to the Ram. Both Truck were equal in rear gearing. I am also concerned about the hight of the 4x4 and bedrail clearance. Any of you wise one have any thoughts?

As a newer owner of the GMC Denali Duramax/Dually we love it. We discounted the Ram early on in our search due to noise, so did not test drive it. The GMC had a better ride than the Ford, and at the time was able to get a better deal on the GMC. Pulling the RW it had plenty of power at highway speeds to drive as fast as I wanted even with strong headwinds. IMO get the best deal an any one of the trucks and go with it.

Even with the same rear gears, you need to find the xmission ratios. I don't know about Rams, but I do know that Ford has a lower 1st gear than GM, maybe that was the difference off the line.

Mine is a '13 GMC & it seems to me way more peppy off the line than my sons new '15 Ram & rides better, both are 4x4 drw trucks. Only difference IMO the Ram does seem a bit quieter at idle.

And this is why there are 3 truck brands. Here we have a good example of diametrically opposed opinions on the same issue. At some point, I should bite the bullet and go for a test drive in these two trucks just for kicks. Gotta' say, everything about my buddies '08 2500 Ram, with the exception of the engine, is an embarrassment to Dodge.

I have owned all three recently. (2015 Ram 3500 4x4, 2012 Ford f-350 4x4, 2007 Dodge 3500 4x4, 2003 GMC 2500 4x4)
Here are my opinions on the late model trucks -
* GM's (Chevy and GMC) have the best ride.
* Ford is the quickest off the line and the quickest to power up at highway speed for passing. And they seem to get better mileage than the others I have had.
* Great customer service from both Ford and GM
* GM's interior is quiet and has a nice fit and finish
* Ram has the nicest interior and electronics package
* Cummins is great and can be serviced at Ram or a Cummins dealer in a pinch. (two options)
* Every Ram service department I have ever been to sucks.............they need customer service training!

All of them are good trucks that will get the job done..............you need to drive them all and decide which you like best because everyone has a difference of opinion. I usually buy whoever makes me the best deal.........as you can see I don't have any brand loyalty.
