Oh No Ram truck fans

Maybe you get a new one?

Vehicles eligible for buy-back offer
Models included in the buy-back offer are certain Ram 1500s from 2009 to 2012; the Ram 1500 Mega Cab 4 by 4 from 2008; and the Ram 2500 4 by 4, 3500 4 by 4, 4500 4 by 4, and 5500 4 by 4, all from 2008 through 2012. Also part of the offer are 2009 Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango SUVs and the Dodge Dakota pickup from 2009 through 2011.

Seems they have steering failure?

Guess us Ford guys made the right choice after all?

Wowzers. That's gonna hurt. We have a 2014, so... no new truck for us I guess.

Also some of you with Jeeps, seems they recycled the Ford Pinto gas tanks for them.

Now THAT'S FUNNY! This coming from someone who owns a Ram and a Fiat and has another Ram on order.

Boy that depreciated buy back does not sound fun at all - especially if a guy has put his heart into keeping it nice .

My Jeep tank is behind the axle, and I've got far more money into it than it would be worth in a buyback.

Yes it sounds scary. I wonder how they will handle truck upgrades like air bags and hitches and all kinds of other things? Does not sound good at all.

No that could be very ugly to deal with. The consumer always seems to get the short end.

If you have a truck that's been maintained and looking good...I'm afraid you might get screwed. On the other hand if you have a truck that's a piece of junk....you'll come out ahead.

This is going to hurt that company because this also shows that they were putting profits ahead of consumer safety because they were being forced to comply. Never a good PR tactic

That's it, I'm not servicing my stuff anymore - just run to destruction or buy back. Think of all the money and sweat I will save!

Jim, if we could take the three trucks apart and build the truck we want out of the parts.......we'd have a hell of a truck.

Mmmmmm.....reminds me of a song Johnny Cash had about assembling a Cadillac from an assortment of parts.

My 2011 has had 3 recalls which have been taken care of nicely. I can see it now.......someone from Chrysler will be driving up to my place with a new 2016 RAM Laramie, 4x4, Crew Cab, Long Bed, DRW (preferably Deep Cherry Red)and drive my 2011 away. Finally, I can finally pull this Redwood safely!! I am holding my breath!!
