Just finished a 100 mile drive through the Blue Ridge mountains from Clayton, Ga to Ashville, NC.
I must say I am impressed with the way the Ram pulled our Redwood up those mountains and how well the exhaust brake worked when coming down the other side. There were several sections that were a 7% grade for 3 miles up and then back down. I just turned the flashers on and stayed to the right with the truckers. I guess it's best to have a truckers mentality when you're towing a rig this size.
I was concerned my fuel mileage would be in the toilet when we got to Ashville but it was 10.5 mpg. That's only a 1 mpg drop from flat land. Pretty cool.

I can tell you for a fact that my dodge would have never done that and i do miss the exhaust brake.

The new trucks are all so powerful! Mine gets the same mpg pulling the Redwood as it did pulling a 7000 lbs trailer.
