TRi Glide replaced

After the initial failure of the rolling pins on the Tri Glide on the 4th of July last year, Lippert authorized a welder to lock the pins down until they could send me a new Flex Air Pin box. I was near Butte, MT in a remote campground when I decided to prep my rig by removing the Tri Glide pin box. Well it was extremely hard to break the 8 bolts loose. Took a 8' cheater bar and lots of muscle but got it off and headed into town to pick up new pin bow. Not having a lift with me I used the hydraulics of the rig & a wild game cable lift to get the old pin box down and out. Then the new one at the right height on the bracket. It was really difficult but we finally got the new Flex Air pin box up to the right spot. Guess what?!?! The bolt pattern did not match and it was the wrong pin box. All that work for nothing!!!! Called Lippert and they apologized. They shipped the correct pin box to a RV dealer in Couer d'alene, ID. The second install went well and only cost us a half day of our trip. So far we have been very happy with the Flex Air.

I also had fits both hitching and unhitching because the tri-glide and the reese hitch were both trying to operate at the opposite angle when unloaded.

Hate to say this but can't begin to tell you how easy it is to hitch or unhitch a MorRyde pinbox / Comfort Ride Hitch combo. Literally 2 minutes start to finish including electric hookup and starting to raise jacks. Don't miss my Reese Elite or the leaky airbag at all.

Our Lippert Tri Glide fell apart when we parked at Buckley AFB in CO. Purchased a new MorRyde and the RV park host and I installed it. Will not put another Lippert product on my coach. We have MorRyde IS, Disc Brakes and the Pin Box. Works great.
