Check this out, looks like they still get the cummins as the standard but the Ford gas 6.8 as an option. Interesting the different HP options

That's interesting, I'm guessing all the various power levels on the Diesel option are essentially the same engine with just different tunes? Why so many options, do you pay different fees based on power output?

I talked with the dealer today and his finance guy. They do have financing ranging from 5 years to 15 years at pretty reasonable rates for the little Freightliners. We're going to test drive them next Saturday and see if it's something that Ginny likes.

Oh Boy I was checking out the 2015 F450 that Classy Chassis yesterday. Spent 3 hours talking to them about one. Maybe the way we go. Able to pull a 31,200 Lbs GVW 5th wheel and a CGVW of 40,000 Lbs. Very surprised that GM is not stepping up to the plate for towing with the other two. (Dodge & Ford). S what this means is I maybe putting up my chevy for sale as we are looking into the future and are looking at something that may have a GVW of around 24,000 Lbs.
One of the things I have heard a couple times is how much weight they put on the backs of the MD to make them ride decent bob tailing around town. We would be using this to also go get groceries and such or should I say Carol would have to be able to drive it and park it comfortably to these places. This would also include having to up grade our licenses to non CDL and take the test which she is not looking forward to. So that puts us back to the F450 now. Come on GM step up to the plate!

I think he is looking at sport chassis http://www.sportchassis.com they are ready to roll right off the lot.
My experience with classy chassis conversions is they are really nice but you lose a lot on them, most dealers look at them as the used truck value and don't give you much if anything for all the goodies on the conversion.
