Are those larger tires? I am in the market for tires on my 2011 F350 dually and the dealers say no to increased tire size. If yours are larger what is the size and how did you get it done.

Thanks

Let's go guys and gals. This was lwg's idea from another thread on here. Start posting up.

And yes, those tires are a Toyo M/T 285/75 17. Thanks for the compliments.

Our TV is a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 very happy with it. Pulled our Redwood over Berthoud Pass Colorado with no problems.

Berthoud Pass is West of Denver and traverses the Continental Divide. It is 11,300 feet high and has 6.3% grades on each side. It is notorious as one of the most difficult passes in Colorado with many switchbacks. Beautiful views.

Had some service work done at Windish in Denver. My wife grew up in Krembling so she wanted to go that way to see some of her old stomping grounds.

I hope your service experience was better than Atom's...

Wish there was a service center close to me, I wouldn't go back to Windish. Does anyone know of another service center. Near Colorado Springs,CO

You don't have to go to a Redwood dealer for service. Just need approval to go somewhere else. Typically an RV service only shop has better rates than the big dealers along with much, much better service so Redwood benefits financially with this decision.

At this point I'm not certain I'll ever visit a Redwood dealer again for service except for the annual inspections...

Sorry OTR...missed your post. The turbo upgrade would be a Garrett GT3794 Powermax turbocharger. The unit has a 64.7mm compressor wheel and is equipped with a water-cooled, journal-bearing center housing rotating assembly. Basically, Elite takes an older version of the Duramax VGT and modifies it for this application. I honestly don't know when, or if, I'll ever make this conversion. It is the 2011 6.7L turbos that are known to have some reliability issues. If I'm unfortunate enough to experience a failure, then this will be the ticket for me. On the other hand...the aftermarket world is beginning to make kits that will allow for the drop in of the new, 2015 turbo. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

This would be of most interest to me down the road, I'm also assuming that would allow for a better Exhaust (really a Turbo) brake as well. If somebody just figures out how to add the manual option inexpensively we'll be set!

Spindrift, can you answer my questions about those tires. I need to know the sizes and did you have to use spacers?

Thanks.
