Dan, you are absolutely right! I've had a chance to really play with it this weekend and Dory rode in it yesterday.

These new trucks are old hat to most folks on here, but I towed this Redwood home in our 2006 F350 that we owned since new, and thought the 2008 was a huge upgrade. Wish now I would have just skipped the 2008 and gone straight to this! You take a gamble on a used truck and I didn't do well on that one.

Quiet - smooth - lots of gadgets - and cooled seats!! Like-for-like truck and yet my payload capacity went up another 1,000 lbs (now 5,300)

I do tend to save on touch up paint

Brad, that's a nice looking truck and I'm very happy for you. The difference between the 08 and 14 should be night and day. So far from all I've read and experienced, Ford has done a good job designing that 6.7.

I looked at that identical truck, in a 2013 King Ranch edition, when I was shopping for a new truck. Very nice rig. When I was willing to make the jump from Cummins to Ford, the dealer where I found this truck just wouldn't deal very well, or I would have had a twin to yours. I was very impressed with the Ford.

Brad which one did you get the top one or the bottom one? I'm in along term hunt for a vehicle. Either one looks great!

Is the hard drive gone on the new radios? Used to put in a CD and it would write it to the hard drive. Can't find it on the menu now.

Have to use a USB now. The GPS gets info from a flash memory card. They are under the pop up storage area on top of the dash

Good deal AA,
the 15's have the newer turbo and 'exhaust brake', but all the other 6.7 6 speeds just have the tow haul which works very well !

Have stated it before LOVE ford's new 6.7 - can't say anything about longevity yet, but the two I've had have about 60k miles together and not an issue with them....
Once I get on the open road I usually have the cruise set and put it in tow haul... but I then shift to manual 6th gear...

really don't like how quick it downshift when hitting grades, I like just letting the turbo and torque pull the lesser grades rather than having the drama of downshifts and upshifts...

and as far as musica :
The wife now just bluetooths all her music from either her tablet or phone...

I have to fight her to let me use MY phone when I'm driving MY truck

bet you know this, but go to owner.ford.com and register with your vin and you can download all the manuals so it's easy to search them on the pc...

Wait till you want to get it off to check lug nut torque, or change a tire. Almost impossible to get it off without damaging it. I'm going to have to come up with something else, as their suggestion of using the supplied J wrench tip doesn't work so good.

I took one of my old screw drivers...one of the flat head monster variety. Took a torch and heated the blade enough to make a curl which was sized perfectly for the hub cab. Worked like a charm. Since then, I've removed the hub cabs as I think that raw look is much sexier.
