Interesting - that was my 2008 (I haven't got a chance to weigh this yet). I'm glad to hear it will be very close to what I had

I would have though the 6.7 composite block shaved a few pounds over the 6.4, but they must have made up the weight in other areas.

You can get your weights for $10 and 10 minutes here --> http://catscale.com/cat-scale-locator we all have too many different configurations to make them applicable to each other...
some have this floor plan, some have w/d, some have gens, etc... some carry 200 pair of women's shoes for a weekend, some carry one pair of flip flops

IMHO, ignore the arrows on the trail air pin.
when I pumped mine up to where the arrow tips JUST showed it was WAY too hard and transferred all the jouncing to the truck... just a horrible ride...
lowered the psi to allow the hitch to absorb and cushion the bouncing... MUCH better...

And on our srw trucks air bags we run the airbags relatively low - 45 psi, seems to be about the best compromise between the HARD dips that can bottom out and allowing the bags to be a cushion, not a stopper but - YRMV based on your weights and loading...

The airbags are very difficult to nail down specific numbers. For the Trail Air I usually air to just below the top of the arrow.

As for airbags on the truck, I have the wireless remote and can adjust it on the fly. I've found that anywhere between 45-70 psi works depending on the road conditions. In some cases it's really hard to tell what, if any, difference exist between these pressures. In general on Interstates that are smooth I've found the lower pressures help smooth the ride. I usually go a little higher if the road is rough to take the bounce out a bit.

I love that thing! Thanks for suggesting John! What is cool, Is it not only pumps up or down to the pressure setting, but it also maintains it. Mine will have a secondary or sometimes 3rd fine tune cycle sometimes.

Grandson loves it!

I was looking at the Dexter E Z Flex, it appears to be more substantial than the Equa Flex & looks like each spring end would move more independently, also the reviews all seem very good. I can't quite swing financially the Mor Ryde at this time.

I'm at a loss as to what you gain with the Dexter over what we have. Don't they both do the same thing?

I'd trust that a Dexter product is simply designed and built better than a Lippert product. Other than that, I think you're correct in your initial assessment.

I could kind of go with that, except given the Lippert product is actually a Trailair product, which I would have put over Dexter at one time, I'm not sure just saying it is Lippert is necessarily a negative. I've had my share of disappointments with Dexter.

Everybody puts Lippert down, but if they were really half as bad as everybody says, there should be trailer parts scattered all over the roads.
Remember they are the major supplier of frames assemblies to the RV Industry so because of that shear number, you'll hear of their problems.

I think Lippert get a bad reputation because they build to the manufactures specs. When the manufactures want to cut down on weight or costs.....

Lippert gained their own reputation without the help of manufacturers specs.

I've been on the bad side of Lipperts welds and inferior craftsmanship. Nothing in specs about that!

However, they have come a long way with their framework since then.

The system receives fairly good reviews on the forums. Almost can't go wrong for that price.

True, but I go back to the current online camping world site here --> http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...em/62534#qanda

that says $719 for one side before installation....

for $852 did you get only one side done ? Just trying to understand

Guessing there might have been some "wheeling and dealing" going on. Camping World seems to have two prices, list price and the one you negotiate to. There's definitely no consistency between any two stores...
