The truck battles are one for 2016

here is a link to info on what GM is doing for the upcoming 2016 truck battles http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2014/07...c-duramax.html

Glad to see GM in the fight again for the power. Remember as long as there's competition, we all win.

Ya GM kind of fell into the wimpy kid on the block category the last few years. Comsumer reports said power was rather unremarkable compared to the other two. As with all brand battles, someone new needs to take the lead every couple of years or things get stagnant.

In my opinion it's never been much of a battle, Duramax/Allison has always been the winner, Dodge a very close #2, Ford DEAD last..

I'm just holding out for GM to bring back the 4500/5500 Series. They really need to do that to counter the F450/550s

I am so surprised that Ford and Dodge can even pull these Redwoods

I've already got mine tweaked. Mine has a lite tune of 8o extra ft lbs of torque and no exhaust fluid. I didn't want to go any higher (it maxes out at 200) because I didn't want to over work the transmission.

My wife really likes the new F450 but I have so much invested in my suspension, I kind of hate to start over again. Really I wouldn't tune another truck although it's been fun to play with. That new F450 stock delivers as much torque as my truck plus it has the 430 rear end. That truck should run up the hills

Go to youtube and type in "Dodge pulls chevy". IMO, Ford and Dodge are pretty close with Dodge on top, only because of Cummins, and Chevy comes in last. As most serious pullers will tell you, Chevy isn't even in the race.

With the fairly recent option the Aisin transmission starting with 2013s, the Dodge Ram is one heck of a truck with the ability to tow 30K pounds. It's more than I'll ever need!
Happy New Year!
