If it makes you feel better, there actually is a proposal by HUD regarding the revision of exemptions for RV's. If interested, here it is:

http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/docu...FedReg2016.pdf

My takeaway is that it relates to Park Models. Some language that might make you happy: "HUD has not exercised regulatory oversight over Fifth Wheel Travel Trailers and considered them as falling within the regulatory exemption."

Now there is some language that references "primary residence" and "permanent occupancy" which might pose cause for concern down the road, but for now I think we're safe in focusing on sheltering in against the zombies and not HUD.

I agree with Tracy that their main concern is park models. We are currently renting in a co-op park & that issue has come up several times, is a park model a rv or a permanent residence, if it's a rv they continue to be "rv resort" with less taxes, if it's a residence it's no longer a rv park but a model home park & taxes increase. Thus they leave the wheels & tires on the park models & they're still rvs, even though they've added a 400 square foot "Arizona room" ( or whatever state they are in) onto them.

That makes sense. However, there are those in government that simply cannot pass up an opportunity to generate more revenue. They do an excellent job of selling it as something that is sorely needed for our "health and well-being". Although, in my opinion, the true reason is money and control ...can't think of many areas where the government doesn't have a long reach.

Never trust an over reaching government. They say their only looking at one thing while it's a stepping stone to others.

Like the so called assault weapons. What's their definition of assault? Some believe anything that holds more than 6 bullets would qualify.
