Texas campgrounds

Looking for some suggestions for some really great campgrounds somewhere in Texas. We've never been to Texas so are planning on spending at least a month this winter looking around. Would really like to find 2 or 3 really great parks we can go to that would have a pool, hot tub, near stuff, etc etc..

We are pretty open but since it will be over the holidays need to get this worked out pretty quickly.

Thanks!

Texas is VERY big state, some indication as to what part may help narrow it down a bit!

We have stayed in Port Aransas at Pioneer rv park, it's a nice park close to the beach with shopping there or in nearby Corpus Christi. The Texas Hill country, Rio Grande Valley areas would also make nice winter locations.

RV Parks in Texas

Check out Buckhorn Lake Resort in Kerrville. A real classy and well run operation 5 miles west of Kerrville, Texas. We are staying here for the winter.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. Going to look into these and hopefully can get space. I would narrow down the area t_t but since we are looking for both suggestions on the area and camp grounds we are open.

We also like Admirality RV Park in San Antonio. It is close to Kerrville, Bandera, Boerne, etc. Nice park with decent amenities.

It's hard to beat the Texas Hill Country.

You're close to San Antonio which is a real treat. We have kids in Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi. You can stay in the San Antonio area and make it to the Gulph Coast for an easy day trip any time.

I guess that when you are in Texas a 5 1/2 hour drive to San Antonio from
Coyote Ranch Resort is is close. I'm not trying to be a wise guy, just trying to put in in perspective.

You gotta' go...and you need to bring a motorcycle. The winding roads are just awesome to ride.

In a couple of weeks, we are headed to the Hill Country for 7 weeks. Loved the two weeks we spent there, and are headed back to the Miller Creek RV Resort. It doesn't have a pool, but is run by great people who are actively involved with the campground and those staying there,

John,

Why don't you put together a mini rally there in Tx so we can all get outa here and avoid this snow! I could use some wine tasting and Canton flea markets

Well...
First Monday in Canton is next weekend and we are meeting couples there on Wed... drive on down (but ya might have to stay in one of their cabins - there won't be any sites @ Mill Creek since October usually books up a year in advance.)

But hey - I'm game what the consensus I'll arrange it !

meeting a group @ Westlake in the Houston area 11/7 thru 11/11...

We can plan a winter trip
