We are booking another trip there this summer with the kids... Been going almost every year since we got married almost 30 years ago. That was half our honeymoon , that and a cruise.....

I've thought about the 700 loop but those sites just don't look long enough.

I am staying in Disney's Wilderness loop 200 now. My question is how that would compare to 700 or 800. This is my second trip with the redwood. If it had not been for a very helpful stranger I would be still trying to back the trailer in to the right side site. Even driving around the loop was a challenge.

I am planning on going to Fort Wilderness for the whole Thanksgiving week this year (Sunday to Sunday).
Going with some other family and friends that are taking their RVs, looking forward to a great time.

Since getting my first large fifth wheel , I stopped staying in the 100/200 or 300 loops.... the roads are just too narrow and small..

We stumbled onto the 700 loop a few back and really like it.. The sites for the most part are large , but more importantly the road is wide and not a small circle, but a gradual bend...Walk over and check it out , the loop ends at the intersection near the bus station/entrance to the sidewalk for the boats...

The 200 loop is considered a preferred site and the 700/800 loops are considered premium sites. Premium sites are wider and longer than preferred sites.

Met a member today

We pulled in to Americamps in Ashland VA the other day for a few days. We noticed a 15 39MB come in after us and set up 3 spots away, but have not seen any sign of them since...
While walking the pup this morning , I saw them out so I chatted with them.... Well , it's is jeff&karen39MB...

Real nice folks ,they are getting some warranty work done at McGeorges today, then leaving Tuesday/Wednesday for Elkhart to have the IS installed...

It was a Pleasure to meet them , this community is great!

We usually go in the summer, as our kids are on summer break from school... The lines are not terrible , but can be long. We learn to live on fast pass....
We did learn to stay away around Christmas break, it's a ZOO.. Even Ester break was a ZOO....
My wife became a travel agent/Disney specialialst a few year back,so she watches the deals... Unfortunately they never have deals at the Fort.. They also never include the dining plans in the Fort as part of your stay.. You have to buy it.

The cleanest, nicest one I have ever stayed in was in Sevierville, TN., behind Smokey Mountain Knife works, Two Rivers Landing.

Redwood Spotting

Hi Joe, ( Ford truck Guy ) it was a pleasure meeting you here at Americamps in Ashland Va.
We got everything done at Mc Georges Rv today, so we will hang around here until Thursday and then leave for Mor Ryde Elkhart In.
Hope we get to talk some more.
Who is the other Radwood up front?

I am not sure.. That along with the one across from us ( both 2012 ?) have been here for years... I have never talked to the one up front... I just spoke to the folks across from us the other day for the first time... Both are used as full time residences . .

Saw a RW heading north on I75 today, around Georgetown KY, just north of Lexington, while coming back from taking mine to Colerain's in Cincinnati. Wasn't paying attention, and just got a glimpse as it was passing. It was pulled by a white truck. About 3:00 pm Saturday, 4/9. Wondering if it was rob_fl? It looked like his rig.
