Hurricane Irma

I hope anyone from Florida is staying safe or have gotten out. While we are still in Ohio, our trailer is sitting at Rock Crusher Canyon in Crystal River. Which seems to be nearly the center of the projected path. This would be our 5th winter. HOWEVER, until this past spring our trailer had always come home with us.

We move to the Campground at the Wind Creek Casino in Atmore Alabama

Hope we will be out of the path of the storm and only get a little wind and some light rain here.

Our friends were evacuated from Disney World. Their first day was a twelve hour drive and they only got 450 miles due to all of the traffic. Unfortunately, they were headed to the Keys for their big annual vacation. We met them in Nashville and did our best to settle them down with a visit to the Grand Ol Opry, good bourbon, a nice fire and conversation.

The first reports from the park was no significant damage to the trailers. Plenty of trees and limbs down. A limb did get someones car.

We're in Biloxi Ms, the Majestic Oaks Rv Park, great park and they gave every Floridian a free nights stay, great gestures kudos to them.

Rob, how is that Casino and RV park, and do they have a golf course?

Stayed at two beautiful Rv parks here in panhandle of Fl spending a couple days in both, Live Oak Landing In Freeport and Twin Lakes in Defuniak Springs. If passing through or want to stay for awhile, consider them.

Stayed at Live Oak Landing during the winter of 2013/2014. Beautiful location and very nice area to visit.

Yes we really liked it, it will be a good place to stay when we next travel from Florida across 10.

We were on our way to Disney World, but got chased off by Irma. Made it to Tallahassee. Basically just had a 4000 mile drive. I have to say I was impressed with all the support I saw for the for the victims on my way back home. Hope everyone faired well.
