Home For The Dogs

Wasn't sure what forum to post this in but thought some might like to see. Just finished this project over the weekend. We don't always like to leave our small dogs free in the camper when we are not there with them since they WILL find something to get into. This is what I came up with and it is also a bench seat for the table. I made the lower cut out in the seat so the table can slide right under when in travel and lock in place. Top opens up for easy cleaning.

Excellent job Steve. Hope you built in a mechanism to open it from the inside for when momma puts you in there

I would be afraid to have something like that in our RW. The possibility of me finding myself in it too many times is far too great.

The size of your dogs? That bench would have to be the size of a queen size bed

I made it just small enough that the wife can't stuff me in there....I hope???

No problem with our small dogs as you can see the picture below. As you can see the smallest one isn't even sure if he is going down the steps of our old RV.

Well....No plans, I just took some measurements and headed to the shop and this is what it ended up as. I'm sure I can give you the details you need or of coarse I could build one if your not in a big rush as long as it doesn't need to be shipped. The hardwood materials add up quick but probably about a days labor to build + the finishing.
My memory isn't that good but are you the ones that stay at Aces High? If so we will be there from May 15th to the 18th.

Well that's interesting.. I guess there is another Jay and Linda on here also.
Let me know what details you need and I will help the best I can.
You can post here or send an email.
We won't be back to Florida until Sept.2016. Headed to Myrtle Beach this Sept.
