It was discussed at this year's rally that they were moving it to the fairgrounds for more 50 amp spots & more room, would'nt all be in a row, better able to cluster together. What happened to that plan??

Not sure, but that is what I got this morning when I sent a request on the website regarding dates and location.

Response came from a Kathy Fuller, no title provided in her email.

Steve,

As we are planning the itinerary for the summer I sent a note to RW via the website requesting dates. They responded within an hour with dates and location.

Based on the last couple of rallies you just reserve a site at the campground.

When would you plan on leaving Arlington? We return from UK & Dubai on July 1st and hope to head East within a week. Only issue is we have to stay in Canada until just before the rally or we will exceed the max days in the US.

Andy,

We are in the talking stage. Although it would be fun to caravan over. We will keep in touch.

Twin Mills Campground is near Howe, Indiana. It is the closest and nicest campground near the Redwood factory (located near Syracuse, Indiana) that could handle the number of RW's attending the factory rally. The discussion, regarding use of the Elkhart County Fairgrounds for the 2014 Rally, was had on the basis that they would need a lot more space if more than 28 coaches were attending the rally and the need for more 50 Amp spaces. So, the more folks that sign up for the 2014 Rally, the more likely it will be had at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds. Redwood would love to see 50 or 60 coaches there this year.

Kathy Fuller was the factory rally coordinator last year. I don't remember her exact position within the company.

It is a great place, just book early and may be they will open more spots for us or hold more spots for us.

See you all in Aug.

We will be there and will be calling Twin Mills later this week to reserve a spot.

We avoided a trip to the factory for inspection, so I think we will be there as well.

Looks like we're going to miss it again. We'll be just returning from Alaska and headed down the Coast to Nevada for a Western Parks tour.

To make reservations, call the "Mill Springs" Campground. You can find their contact info on the Web. Make sure you tell them you're with the Redwood group so they try to put you with the rest of the folks there and so you get a discount. It's a nice place but you'll spend some time after the Rally cleaning the sap off your truck and trailer. They have Pine trees that have rained sap on my rig 2 years in a row.

Twin Mills is closed for the winter, there recording says someone is there Mon - Thu but no one answer the phone. I just booked @ 866-562-3212, that is Encore's reservation number and they have all the information on the rally.

Rate is $36/night, currently there are only two registrations, Dave & Jenny and us. Dave is in site C-45, we're in C-46, we're both arriving on August 7th and leaving August 10th.

See ya @ the Rally!!

Most of that area is closed due to weather. Northern Indiana has just got whopped with another storm and there's a travel advisory asking everyone to stay off the roads. Most, if not all of the RV businesses are closed. It wouldn't surprise me if there's nobody at the campground right now.
