What is this?

I had a weak battery that I replaced this weekend. Beside the battery enclosures were these two coils. They look like electromagnets. Any idea what they are of what they are for?

Thanks,

Howard

found a picture

Thank you,

Google search, found a picture that matches Brake Magnet, Kelsey Hayes Round Type. They were wired into the break controller yet were laying beside the batteries rusting.

Buying a preowned rig saved $ but causes some mysteries!

Apparently the previous owner had a couple spare brake magnets.

Just a cheap way to trick the truck brake controller for electric over hydraulic brakes.

Howard, does the RW have Disc Brakes?? If so, I agree, previous owner's way to make the Hydraulic pump work with their TV. Correct way is to install a CAM Interface module in the brake controller line before the Pump.

I ordered my new 31SL (due here in two weeks) with Disc Brakes. Are you telling me that I will need to purchase and install a CAM Interface module for my new trailer?

No, it will already have one. I think M&A was asking because someone may have modified theirs or even added disk after purchase.

Yes, it has Disk Brakes

I really knew very little about this rig from the description posted on the internet. It said microwave, yet from the pictures it looked like the microwave/convection I hoped for. Didn't mention heat pump yet it's got it. I think it's got most options except the second awning.

First trailer I've had with disk brakes.
