Ok. After so many recommendations to dump the Thetford I ordered the Dometic 311 with the optional sprayer from Amazon.

While waiting for it to arrive this would be good time to add a valve behind the toilet & when getting the valve pickup an 18" flex hose with 1/2" fittings on both ends & a 1/2" close brass or plastic nipple, both will be required to connect the new toilet (at least mine did).

Is the difference between the two Dometic johns just height? I've got a Thetford I should probably replace. It sets right over my inverter

Height is the same, shape of the bowl is the difference. The 310 is a round bowl, 320 is an elongated bowl, both have the sprayer hose option. I got the 310 due to the size of our toilet area & it has worked flawlessly now for 3 years with high or very low pressure.

Thanks Danny. I may have to measure before I put a long one in there.

Thetford has a conversion chart that compares what will fit and won't fit with exact toilet swaps, some modifications etc... But this is from one Thetford to another Thetford and not the Dometics.

The pdf is too large to attach so here is a link to the chart:

The 320 appears like your standard residential toilet without the tank. The 320 would've fit, but DW liked the 310 with all the rinse holes around the rim.

I installed the Dometic 320 in our Redwood, it fits fine and I love the larger elongated seat.
The Dometic works much better than our original Thetford did.
