We put the little battery operated fan on one of shelves & surprisingly it made quite a difference in cooling, both frig & freezer.

When & if the pedal falls of the Thetford again I'll replace the toilet with the Dometic, that pedal was $70.

Ordered a Dometic 310 from Amazon and it arrived a day early. Took out the Thetford and put in the Dometic. Easier than replacing a residential toilet. Piece of cake!
Domestic works great. The specs on the Thetford said they wanted 9 1/2" from the mounting bolts to the wall. The 310 wanted 10" and the 320 wanted 11". The existing Thetford install in my 38RL had 1/2 inch clearance to the wall, so I figured I could satisfy the 10" setback for the 310, but not of the 320. Now I have an inch clearance with the 310, so the 320 might actually have worked. Oh well!

I love my Dometic 320 I installed while at Fort Wilderness (Disney World) last year.
Put the old Thetford in the Dometic box and sat it beside the garbage can on our Fort Wilderness Loop, the next morning it was gone

The water on ours didn't shutoff this morning, thankfully DW had a rug in there take soaked up the majority, so not too big of mess & it was just water. My question is what's the difference between the 320 & 310, from measurement they will both fit. I'm tired of this POS Thetford not holding water, pedal falling off, & having to lube the valves & seals all the time.

Just ordered my 320 since we are headed to Fort Wilderness and that's not were I want to be replacing the Thetford.
I have the one with the hand sprayer coming as we don't have that right now. Did you have to change anything on the supply or did it hook right up?

Steve

There's nothing worse then getting up in the middle of the night and stepping out of bed into a water soaked carpet. Been there, done that!! All because the water didn't shut completely off. This happened on a previous SOB. I now have battery operated water alarms positioned at the base of the toilet, under each sink, and soon to add one in the basement area were all our plumbing lines are. They are not very expensive and will give you peace of mind. Also, I never leave the rig without shutting water off, would hate to come home to water running out under the rig!

For those who change out your toilet, that is a great time to add in a shut off valve on the water line to the toilet. This is what I used:

Not that that is an ugly valve or anything, but its a pretty ugly valve I don't think my wife would feel confident sitting down there if she saw that valve.

Ow bout just the regular ol chrome 1/4 turn valve like Redwood used on the drain.

I installed the same valve and it works fine. What you are sitting down to do is a lot uglier

Most any plumbing supply has them. The big box stores not so much.
