soap dish peeling

Wife noticed today that the "brushed nickel" is pealing off of our shower soap dish, leaving a "brushed chrome" patchy look .

Anybody else have that issue? It's only ever had Marriott soap on it

Probably a wasted effort to go through warranty - it will just prolong the agony of waiting for the new one to peel, unless they changed models.

But I think I'll do it anyway. If I find better, I'll let you know.

Brad ~ when you call ~ let them know there are at least 3-4 of us. Maybe they can get a quantity deal on a better shower fixture ...............

Vaughan,
I'm not even sure who to call anymore at Redwood. I've been going through the Dealer. Is there a replacement for Andi?

I usually try for Leonard Nielsen. If he can't help, he knows who can

We started to loose the finish on the standoffs of the soap/wand holder from the get go. Just didn't bother me. As for the sink drain that also went south and probably looks the worst. I was going to replace but am sure the diameter of the drain pipe is smaller than household versions. Have to remove and bring to a plumbing supply.

Our 2015 GK has the clear plastic also, so maybe they do pay attention.

Went and took pictures - wow, its peeling on the handles and the wand. Jee-zoots . Looks like Pheonix faucets. Also looks like a rush on brushed nickel so they spray painted the chrome ones they had in stock.

Between outside cabinet hinges and fixtures, I seem to be asking for warranty to replace with the current version rather than what I have.

you folks with the new units, is the shower faucet still brushed nickel with a clear plastic soap dish?

I'm about to ask for replacement through warranty, but I'm Ok with the new stuff if it matches.

Here is the shower head in our new 38RL. We obviously installed the Oxygenics showerhead and we LOVE it. Yes, brushed nickel all around.

Super thanks Todd and/or Theresa

Looks like they still use the Durafaucet everything, except the soap dish is now clear plastic like you said.

PS - by happenstance I ordered the oxygenics the other day because I needed the on off valve for some dry camping over the 4th. Glad to hear you like it! I've never heard bad about them. With all the peeling, the oxygenics may be the only brushed nickel left

The remaining valves look like they are phoenix faucets, also an RV supplier type company.

For the record... usually always Theresa :-) Todd LURKS and reads BUT DOESN'T POST! HELLO TODD!!!! Anyway, can't say enough about the Oxygenics... I don't know how it does it but it made the shower feel darn near residential. I am ecstatic!!
