Slide in slide topper

I have Toppers on the BR and 2 Main room slide outs. Does anyone know who makes those? I'd like to get one for the slide in slide.

Carefree of Colorado, but I don't think I've ever seen them on the slide in slide. Is there enough clearance?

I have a topper on the large section of my slide in slide. Do you not have that?? Or are you looking to put a topper on the small part. I don't know if you would have the vertical clearance for the mounting brackets.

Topper

Brad and Ted:
Good question. I'll take a look at the specs from Carefree and get out my measuring tape!
Thanks!

When i first got my slide in slide, I had many conversations with the folks over at Carefree. I was only able to get one on the main part of that slide, not on the slide in slide portion..

They told me that there would not be enough clearance to add that one. But when i was looking to buy the RW, i was doing Alot os searching online and swore i saw one with it in the pics... they told me that is was possible to add one after market.. I just never went any farther with it..

Why not get a longer topper so that it will cover the two roofs instead of two separate toppers? When you retract the slide the topper would just roll up into the normal position.

See the pic below... the longer slide is so much longer than the slide in slide... there is nowhere to attach the whole width to. .

Boy, from your pic it sure looks like there might be enough room. I just don't know how high the topper sets above the slide edge itself.

There is only about less than an inch between the top of the slide in slides upper flange and the bottom of the upper slide topper mount.. They said the clearance issues would be when the slides are both in.

I had numerous conversations with the folks at Carefree , they were great to talk to.

Thanks for all the help. I vaguely recall the "option sheet" that the dealer used had a potential of 3 toppers on it. I recall asking the dealer about them when I placed the order, but he didn't know what the 3rd topper was either. Probably not my brightest moment!

BTW, if you have a slide in slide, always pull it in before the BR slide if it has a topper. If you don't, any debris on the topper will dump on the top of the slide in slide. I have some experience with this! I got some pine needles under the slide in slide seal, which caused a nice leak in a heavy rainstorm.

Good point, but even doing that,
pine needles on the smaller slide are going to stay there anyway
