Anyone have any idea where the two white coax runs from the roof rough in go? I found 1 in the bedroom on our 36RL, the 2nd one doesn't seem to go anywhere.

2nd one goes from roof tothe entertainment center. It's been some time since I traced these, but I think that there is a tee if you put a small flashlight in the wiring hole behind the TV. After the split,the cable end you are looking for ends up in the center cabinet above the television. There are usually 3. You have to trace them.

We bought a line-tester from Amazon ($25 +/--, I think, free 2 day shipping)and used it to determine where our lines go. In our '13 rl, one goes to one of the two cable connections on the bedroomceiling over the unit with shelves and drawers. The other ended behind the living room tv

As rumored, each Coax is installed in a round screw in plate sealed to the roof. Taped to one of the coax is the control cable down under the plate.



Drew an outline around the antenna, ran a generous bead of Dicor non-leveling lap sealant to the inside of the line, then set down the antenna and srewed it in.



Temporarily plugged in the power box while on the roof so I could raise the antenna to install the dish and to check for clearances.



I chose to just run the three cables through one hole and use the flat plate provided by the antenna. The other cable plate was reinstalled without any cable to it.



Self leveling lap sealant over all of it and the screws. I may add more tomorrow, but I barely had enough to finish.

Well I took my little cable sounder and put it away. It was reading opens and shorts and having fits because of splitters and the like, and it was freaking me out! I just hooked up everything per the diagram, and it all works perfectly!

I put a single tuner HD in the living room. I put a duo tuner in the bedroom with HD for the bedroom TV, and SD for the basement TV. Good enough for me unless I feel I miss HD satellite in the basement. Roof antenna is HD everywhere, and both Blue Rays are LG smart with Netflix at either location.

Ready to sterilize a few ice cubes and relish the finish.

Wondering how to provide 12v swithced source for our Sat. Ant. Does your Sat. Ant. require 12v and is that the control cable you mentioned taped under the cover? Appreciate any feedback on how you may have provided 12v to the antenna. Thanks in advance. Mike

Mike, not only did they provide 12V to the roof, its the exact power cable that Winegard uses.

The control cable carries the power, and it is routed from the roof to the bedroom on the 36RL. You just plug your Winegard controller into the 110VAC outlet provided on the shelf, and plug in the control cable, and you are on your way!

The only problem I had was the control cable on the roof is too short to reach the antenna if you go between the AC units, centerline to the roof. I spliced in the control cable that came with the Antenna so I had plenty of room to reach, and put the splice inside the roof under the new seal by the coax cables.
