Removing recliners- need advice

We want to replace the original dark brown leather-like recliners. Anyone know who the manufacturer is? We can't figure out how to remove the seat-backs so they will fit through the door!
Any suggestions?? Thanks!

On the back of the chair there is a flap that is held down by velcro. Lift up the flap you will see the tracks that the back slides into, release to two levers, one on each side, the back will lift off.

We have done the same as Shane, turned it on it's side and the back will go, followed by the base.

Thanks for all your replies. All we need now is 1 or 2 more able-bodies helpers! These things are HEAVY!

Yes, they are heavy, but Ann and I removed one of ours for a while when we need the space for something else, then later returned it. And without going into details, we're both retired and drawing SSI.

Our 2016 recliners were made by Williamsburg Furniture in Indiana. Yes, they are heavy but placing them on their sides made it very easy to remove.

PS, they were great people to deal with !

We removed ours, the two of us, not bad but ours did not come apart, the new ones - theater seats - came in 2 pieces.

Recliner removal

If all else fails, I have a chainsaw that you can use. (I thought we all needed a smile since you've had all good replies so far)

Lift the flap on the back and there is a lever on each side. If all else fails, you can unscrew a few screws on the track and it will come right off.

Hmmmm. No sliders visible on these! Maybe we need to get a flashlight up in there. Thanks for the hints.

Thomas Pane is the maker of the furniture for RV's.
I upgraded to LAZY BOY. His and her recliner. Also replaced the couch with LAZY BOY.
They removed the peices.
Couldn't find a recliner any place in Corpus Christi, TEXAS.
So I had it made. Not much difference in price. Better furniture.

Just had ours replaced. The recliners didn't have removable backs, but putting them on their sides they can be removed out the door. We didn't have the Sleeper Sofa, the the backs did come off ours by removing two bolts on each back section.

Did your recliners come in pieces? I have two Lazy Boy Recliners and a Love Seat that I would love to have in my RV. It would cut down on the storage cost!
